CHAFFEE—Fiesta Bamba Family Mexican Restaurant opened a new location in January, at the request of their loyal customers. Brothers Elioenai and Paulino Fuentes expanded to Chaffee after the Springville location proved to be a hit with Arcade residents.
The Fuentes agreed there was a need for an authentic Mexican restaurant and followed their customers' advice, opening in the former White Star Restaurant.
Fiesta Bamba serves “unique Mexican food,” which “makes everybody happy,” Elioenai said.
“People expect the food to be spicy, but it's not spicy,” he said. “They ask for hot sauce, so we created our own homemade hot sauce for people who want it spicy.”
The restaurant offers large portions at affordable prices, including: chicken, steak and combination dinners, fajitas, salads, hamburgers, nachos, burritos, seafood, enchiladas, grilled tacos, quesadillas and other house specialties as well as a children's menu. Other items are also available as appetizers, side orders or a’ la carte. Of course, the new restaurant also serves authentic Mexican desserts.
The Fuentes have filed with New York for their liquor license and hope to be getting it soon. They would like to offer beer and margaritas along with daily specials. The patio will be open in the near future, as weather permits.
The restaurant accepts reservations and has a party room available by reservation, which will hold approximately 40 people. They also offer a catering service for large groups.
The Chaffee restaurant is located at 12249 Olean Road. Their phone number is 496-9025 and hours are 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily and until 9 p.m. on Sundays.
