Journal to host candidate forum

SPRINGVILLE—Candidates running for Concord councilmen and supervisor positions will answer questions from the community at a forum on Thursday, Oct. 19. Hosted by the Springville Journal, the forum will give residents a chance to hear directly from candidates on issues affecting the Concord area.

Clyde Drake, James Krezmien and Philip Drozd are seeking seats as Republicans, while William Krebs, Jon Hamann and Matt Mayer are looking to fill seats as Democrats.

Drake currently serves as a councilman on the Concord Town Board, he is seeking the supervisor position. Krezmien, also a current town board member, and Drozd are running for councilman seats. Krebs, who currently serves as Springville Mayor, is running for the supervisor position, as Hamann and Mayer look to fill the councilman positions.

Springville Journal editor Colleen Mahoney will host the forum, posing questions to the candidates. The forum is not a debate, but will allow residents to hear from all the candidates. The public will not have a chance to address the candidates, but can email their questions to be asked.

If you have a question you would like answered, please email Editor@SpringvilleJournal.com by Tuesday, Oct. 17. Similarly, send an email to let us know what issues are important to you.

The question and answer forum will be Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Concord Town Hall, 85 Franklin St., Springville. All are welcome to come. For more information, call the Journal office at 794-3072.
