Roy James Bly

Roy James Bly, 75, of Springville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 30, 2017.

Roy was born in Springville on June 24, 1942 to the late Vernon and Maude (nee Milks) Bly.

Roy was born and raised on a dairy farm in West Valley. After the death of his mother, he lived with his brother Norm Bly, where he worked on clocks with Norm for 36 years. He was known for his infectious smile and handshake while greeting customers. He loved to put puzzles together, drive tractors and take long walks. He had a large collection of stuffed animals and loved to listen to and play country music.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a brother Carl.

Roy is survived by his siblings Virgil Bly, Donald (Norma) Rowland, Bruce Bly, Dean (Patricia) Bly, Norman (Linda) Bly, Betty Allard and Carol Phillips and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Children’s League, 393 North St., Springville, N.Y. 14141.
