Esther R. Fuller, 89, formerly of Springville, passed away June 27, 2017 at St. John’s Nursing Home in Rochester.
Esther was born in Colden on June 19, 1928 to the late Frederick and Gladys (nee Frantz) Waterstram.
Esther was a graduate of Springville-Griffith Institute and was the bookkeeper for her husband Gail’s collision shop. She also worked as a baker at Springville-Griffith Institute. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Springville and was very active in the church. She loved sewing and made each of her daughter’s wedding dresses.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her first husband Gail Blakely, who died in 1986, her second husband Earl Fuller, who died in 2010; a granddaughter, Trisha Carr; two brothers Carl and Richard Waterstram and a sister Marilyn Wulff.
Esther is survived by her children Gary (Mary) Blakey of Blacksburg, Va., Terry Blakely of Rochester, Gregory Blakely of Salisbury, N.C., Karen (Gary) Boscoe of Springville, Lori Blakely of Rochester, Marcia Blakely of Hamburg and Paul (Colleen) Blakely of Surprise, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, July 2, from 2-6 p.m. at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3 from Our Savior Lutheran Church, 431 Waverly St., Springville at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
