Gerald A. Feldman

Gerald A. Feldman, 88, of West Valley, passed away July 14, 2017 at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville.

Gerald was born in Ashford on Sept. 29, 1928 to the late Henry and Dorothy (nee Goodemote) Feldman. He married Gertrude Hemmerling on June 17, 1950 in Springville.

He was a retired school bus driver for the West Valley School System and a retired life-long dairy farmer, which he did while driving bus. Gerald was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in West Valley and enjoyed golfing, playing guitar and singing with the Yester Year Band, which played at the Pines and Jennie B. Richmond Nursing homes.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his siblings Ellsworth Feldman, Eleanor Brown, Raymond Feldman, Louis Feldman, Eunice Linsler, Marilyn Shaffner, Doris Digati and Donald Feldman and a daughter-in-law Tinker Feldman.

Along with his wife Gertrude of West Valley, Gerald is survived by his children Diane (John) Gebauer of West Valley, Dennis Feldman of East Otto, Joyce (Tom) Leazott of Springville, Gary (Julie) Feldman of West Valley, Dale (Beth) Feldman of Livonia, James (Kathleen) Feldman of Campbell and Darlene (Rick) Salvagin of Savona; a brother Clifford (Valerie) Feldman of West Valley; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from St. John the Baptist RC Church in West Valley. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery.
