Phyllis E. Goggin (nee World) passed away peacefully on August 3, 2017 in Springville.
She loved relaxing with classical music and a good book. She also appreciated the challenge of doing crossword puzzles in ink or assembling 5,000 puzzle pieces into a work of art. She and her late husband enjoyed camping and their long motor trips, Phyllis in the passenger seat providing directions and driving critiques and her husband behind the wheel with his ever-present grin and a turned off hearing aid. They were happily married for 58 years.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, John Goggin Sr.; daughter Janet (Goggin) Weakland; son Mark Goggin and siblings Evelyn Dahlberg, Paul World and Everett World.
Phyllis is survived by her sons John Goggin and Tim Goggin; her twin brother Philip World; grandchildren Steven Weakland, Jay (Amy) Goggin, Daryl (Jenny) Weakland, Rebecca (John) Poole, Eric (Lauren) Goggin, Michael Goggin, Mallory Breen and Samantha Goggin; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held from St. John the Baptist RC Church in West Valley. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery.
