Phyllis O. Salisbury (nee Groth), 88, passed away May 17, 2018 in Syracuse.
Phyllis was born in Springville on Nov. 17, 1929 to the late Frank and Martha (nee Andler) Groth. She married Ronald A. Salisbury on Aug. 28, 1954 at Salem Lutheran Church in Springville. He passed away on Jan. 16, 2011.
Phyllis retired as a medical secretary from Concord Medical Group. She worked for Dr. Edmund Rothschild, founder of Concord Medical Group, as well as for other specialty physicians.
Phyllis loved tending to her yard, watching the birds and deer and taking care of her cats. She especially enjoyed visits from her neighbors and friends. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Springville.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Amy (Jeffrey Newton) Salisbury of Syracuse and Audrey Salisbury of Brownsburg, Ind.; a granddaughter Allison Serd of Brownsburg, Ind. and dear friends Dorothy Rebescher, Bob and Betty Whitehead, Mike Nason, Tammy Hayden and Brent Speicher.
A memorial service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Springville and Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville.
