SPRINGVILLE—The Main Street Merchants are hosting the inaugural Downtown Dash For Cash, an Amazing Race style event open to the public. Set to take place Aug. 17, Springville’s Downtown Dash for Cash will raise money for the Boys & Girls Club and offers a $300 cash prize to the winning team.
The event takes participants through downtown into the different businesses where they have to complete a task before earning their next clue. Each clue will send them into another business, and so on, until they race to the designated finish line.
Teams will begin at the Springville Journal office, where they will get their first clue. All teams are given two hours to complete the race.
Teams are made up of two people – one participant must be at least 18-years-old – and there is a $10 entry fee. All proceeds from team registration will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Springville.
Teams who would like to participate can sign up at the Springville Journal office, 45 E. Main St., in the rear of the building. The deadline to register is Aug. 10. The Downtown Dash For Cash will be Thursday, Aug. 17 from 6-8 p.m. Teams are asked to check-in by 5:45 p.m. at the Journal office.
