Family Day returns to Cattaraugus County Museum

MACHIAS—The Cattaraugus County Museum has announced Family Day at the Museum will return Saturday, June 17.  

Part of New York state's "Path Through History" weekend, the museum has planned a day of programming for the whole family. The event will run from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and will feature wildlife education, live music, blacksmithing demonstrations and the official opening of a new exhibit "The Greatest Event of the Year: An Exhibit of the Cattaraugus County Fair."  

The museum is open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Wild Spirit Education Owl Ecology will present at 11 a.m., followed by the Fiddle Kids of Western New York at 12:30 p.m. and Bent Brass Band at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. The Cattaraugus County Museum is located in the Stone House, 9824 Route 16 in Machias. Call 353-8200 with any questions, or visit www.cattco.org/museum.
