EAST CONCORD—The Kiwanis Club of Springville will be sponsoring a Maple Madness fundraiser to benefit The Children’s League multi-purpose room building fund. The event will be held June 2 at Wendel’s Sugar House,12502 Vaughn Street, East Concord and will run from 6-10 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and are available at The Children’s League (592-9331), Wendel’s Poultry Farm or at the door. They are limited to adults 21 and over and will include music, light refreshments, silent auction, maple tastings, maple appetizer and dessert contests. Beer, wine and pop will be available for purchase.
The multipurpose room will provide space for large group gatherings that can also be used as an indoor playground during inclement weather, an evaluation room for therapists or a classroom. The cost will be $1.5 million.
The fundraiser will only achieve a portion of the cost and grants will be pursued over the next year.
Donations are needed for auction items, contest prizes or sponsorships with monetary donations. Sponsorship levels are Diamond, $10,000 or more; Platinum, $5,000; Gold, $2,000; Silver, $1,000 and Bronze, $250. Sponsorships include two tickets to Maple Madness and public recognition.
