Post Office gets replicated for Calico Club

The Springville Post Office is the newest in a line of miniature wooden building replicas for sale through the Calico Club. Chosen to help celebrate its 80th year, the miniature Post Office is available for $20 each.

Building committee members Pat Thoman, of Glenwood, and Kathy Carlson, of Springville, considered potential designs of notable local buildings before deciding on the Springville Post Office. The Franklin Street building joins Springville Center for the Arts, Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and the Joylan Theatre as replicated buildings.

Proceeds from the sale benefit Calico Club activities, including service projects, random acts of kindness during the year and a scholarship to a Springville-Griffith Institute senior presented at graduation. Pieces are available for purchase from any Calico Club member, Springville Homewear on East Main Street, the Lucy Bensley Library on North Buffalo Street or the Concord Mercantile on Franklin Street.
