SPRINGVILLE—Springville Center for the Arts is offering multiple adult workshops this fall inspired by the surrounding landscape and in conjunction with Changing Seasons: The Byway Experience, an exhibit of work inspired by the Western New York Southtowns Scenic Byway. Participants should bring a photo from Ray Kent’s Photographic Composition workshop or of their favorite Byway scene to Explore Drawing.
The classes will focus on representational techniques and expressive approaches to create drawings with a variety of materials. The workshop is open to high school students and adults of all experience levels. Attendees can work with materials and methods they are comfortable with or explore different approaches and materials. Instructor Mary Scharf Anderson is a painter and former art teacher and will encourage enjoying and exploring the drawing process. Bring your own materials.
