SPRINGVILLE—Botanical Watercolors and Paper Exploration, two adult visual arts workshops, will be held at the Springville Center for the Arts this summer.
Bernadette Keleher will present the Botanical Watercolors workshop, a European watercolor technique which uses hot press paper. Techniques taught will help with other watercolor techniques and participants will finish with their own painting. Painters are asked to bring their own live plant or flower as a model; preferably a planted flower or plant.
Botanical Watercolors will be held from Tuesday, June 27 through Thursday, June 29 from 6-8 p.m. The class is $40 per person or $35 for Arts Center members, hot press paper will need to be purchased from the instructor. Some watercolor background is suggested.
Taking place every Wednesday in July, Paper Exploration will utilize various techniques with paper to create art. Each class, taught by instructor Deb Eck, will have a different theme allowing artists to take their work home with them. Paper Exploration will be held July 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6-8 p.m. The class is $45 per person or $40 for Arts Center members.
