SOUPer Bowl will Benefit Trading Post

SPRINGVILLE—The Trading Post will once again be raising funds to support families in need with their eighth annual Souper Bowl. Taking place on Feb. 4, the Souper Bowl offers 15 varieties of soup, door prizes, basket auctions and entertainment.

Jeanne Frank, fundraising event coordinator for the Trading Post, explained that the Souper Bowl allows for the Trading Post and their Community Kitchen to continue serving the public. For $15, attendees of the Souper Bowl get bottomless bowls of soup. appetizers and desserts, as well as the chance to win door prizes.

The Community Kitchen serves more than 5,000 meals per year, with their free meals Wednesdays at noon.

Volunteers log more than 1,000 hours to help achieve the Trading Post’s mission of “Showing God’s love by sharing a meal with [their] neighbors and offering a hand of friendship.”

The eighth annual Souper Bowl will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the VFW Post 5260, located at 650 E. Main St., in Springville.

The public is welcome to attend the event, and help raise money for the Trading Post and Community Kitchen.

The Trading Post is located at 38 Franklin St., in Springville.
