BOSTON—Brittany Grabowski, 32, of Hamburg, was arrested and charged on Feb. 14 about 10:20 p.m., after Erie County Sheriff’s deputies received reports of an erratic driver who hit two vehicles head-on along Boston State Road.
While investigating the crashes, the deputy observed signs of intoxication from the driver of the vehicle that hit the other two vehicles. Grabowski failed multiple standard field sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol content level above the legal limit.
Grabowski was arrested and charged with two felony counts of aggravated DWI-passenger less than 16-years-old, two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, reckless endangerment and reckless endangerment of property. She was additionally charged with DWI - first offense and operating a vehicle with a BAC more than .08 percent, both misdemeanors. Three vehicle and traffic law infractions were also written.
The defendant was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in Boston Town Court on Feb. 15. The 8- and 5-year-old children were turned over to their father and Child Protective Services was notified.
No injuries were reported and the Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit continued the investigation.
