GOWANDA – Joseph Fasolino, 51, of Orchard Park, was charged with possession of stolen property and grand larceny on Nov. 15 after Erie County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a driver appearing disoriented and bleeding from a head injury at Iroquois Smoke Shop in Gowanda.
The deputies’ investigation determined Fasolino was the suspected driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash on Route 219 in the Town of Concord around 6 p.m. while fleeing from the New York State Police, and then believed to have stolen a vehicle from a business on Trevett Road in Boston while fleeing the crash scene.
Fasolino was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of injuries suffered during the crash and then was transferred to the Erie County Holding Center. He was charged with felony counts of criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny as well as a misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was held at the Holding Center pending arraignment in Boston Town Court.
