Police Report, March 1

Friday, Feb. 16

Concord - Christopher M. Johnson, 31, of Middleport was found to be in possession of concentrated cannabis following a traffic stop on the southbound 219 Expressway. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree as well as two vehicle and traffic law violations. He was released on an appearance ticket following processing at the ECSO substation.

Springville - Patrol investigated a two-car injury accident at Woodward Avenue and Buffalo Street. Both vehicles were towed.

 

Saturday, Feb. 17

Boston - Danielle A. Sawyer, 49, of Hamburg, a passenger, was charged with UPM following a traffic stop on the northbound 219 Expressway. She was released on an appearance ticket.

 

Sunday, Feb. 18

Concord - Kevin D. Klein, 56, of Machias was charged with felony DWI following a traffic stop on South Cascade Drive. His BAC was reported to be .22 percent. Klein was taken to the Holding Center in lieu of $500 bail. The felony charge is the result of a prior conviction within the preceding 10 years.

Springville - Jamie J. Crossan, 26, of Hamburg was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after he was found to be in possession of cocaine and a crack pipe following a traffic stop on Route 219. He was released on an appearance ticket.

 

Monday, Feb. 19

Springville - Jeremiah A. Bednarek, 36, of Gowanda was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant after Salamanca PD turned him over to police. He was taken to the Holding Center.

Springville - Patrol discovered a female had an outstanding warrant from the City of Olean following a traffic stop on South Cascade Drive. Olean PD stated they could not get the female and advised her to follow-up with them. She was advised.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Boston - An older white male attempted to gain access to Bella Pizza in the early morning hours using a shovel. He was unsuccessful. The ECSO will follow up.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 21

Boston - A 3-year-old child locked itself inside a vehicle in the Tops parking lot was freed by AAA.

Concord - Patrol investigated a two-car minor injury accident on Springville Boston Road.

Concord - ESCO Fire Investigators were called to the scene of a residential fire on Glenwood Road that appears to have started with a wood stove pipe.

Concord- A traffic stop on Route 219 resulted in multiple issues for the driver, Zachary F. McMahon, 23, of Orchard Park. He was found to be driving with a revoked non-driver ID only and was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Additionally, McMahon was the subject of two outstanding warrants from the City of Buffalo. He was turned over to Buffalo PD after being charged with AUO in the second degree and UPM.

 

Thursday, Feb. 22

Boston- A van belonging to Niagara University went off the road on the southbound 219 Expressway damaging the cable-anchored guardrail. No injuries were reported.

Concord - Slippery road conditions contributed to a one-car accident on Groth Road after it slid off the roadway while coming down a hill.

Concord - Patrol investigated a one-car rollover accident on Wagner Road in which an occupant was said to be trapped inside. The person was freed and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Concord - A passenger in a vehicle stopped on Genesee Road, Ethan J. Kelly, 28, of Sardinia, was found to be in possession of concentrated cannabis and marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree as well as UPM. Kelly was released on an appearance ticket.

Sardinia - Three cows were reported to be standing on the side of the road on Route 39. It was unclear as to what their intentions were.

 

Friday, Feb. 23

Boston - Regarding an incident originally reported on Feb. 23 at 12:20 p.m., Emily M. Bernard, 19, of Boston was charged with assault in the third degree at approximately 11:45 a.m. Additionally an unnamed 17-year-old male individual from Boston was charged with assault in the third degree, menacing in the third degree and harassment in the second degree: with physical contact at approximately 12:08 p.m. Both were issued appearance tickets.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 27

East Otto: Following a motor vehicle accident on Monk Hill Road, Jacob H. McGrainor, 19, was charged with DWI, DWI with a BAC of .08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and operating with a learner’s permit, after his vehicle was allegedly stuck in a farmer’s field. He was processed in Little Valley and released on uniform traffic tickets.
