Police Reports, Dec. 7

Friday, Nov. 24

Boston – A female on Keller Road was talking on the phone when it apparently caught fire causing a minor burn to her face. A male picked up the phone to put it in the sink and was burned on his hand. Both parties signed off with first aid personnel.


Saturday, Nov. 25

Boston – Heather Kollatz, 42, of Concord was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration following a traffic stop on Boston State Road. The vehicle was towed and Kollatz was released after being ticketed.

Colden – A vehicle off the roadway on State Road resulted in the arrest of the driver, Diane M. Kelly, 60, of Bliss, who was charged with DWI. Kelly reportedly refused to submit to a chemical test and was released to a third party after being issued six tickets.

Concord – A caller reported a youth was shooting in the area and the rounds were striking the caller’s Kern Road residence. Patrol located the shooter, a 17-year-old, and he was advised. He had apparently been firing low velocity rounds at a metal target. The caller was satisfied.

Springville – The ECSO is investigating the theft of 20 iPads valued at $9,870 from WalMart on Black Friday. They were apparently placed into a suitcase and the individual left the store.


Sunday, Nov. 26

Boston – Erie County Park Rangers were called to Boston Forest County Park after used tires were discovered in the parking area.

Colden – A caller reported his son was punching him while he was driving and when he pulled over, the son jumped out of the vehicle. The son was found by patrol a short time later.

Concord – Patrol investigated a one-car rollover injury accident on Glenwood Road in which minor injuries were reported.

Sardinia – A caller reported a hunter shooting after hours on Foote Road. The caller reported seeing the hunter with a deer. The hunter was gone upon patrol’s arrival.

Springville – A traffic stop on South Cascade Drive resulted in the arrest of Scott Weaver, 45, of Springville after it was discovered that the registration on the vehicle was suspended. He was issued two tickets and released. The vehicle was towed. Weaver was given a courtesy ride.

Springville – A traffic stop on West Main Street resulted in the arrests of Tyler J. Bielanin, 19, and Gadge A. Greed, 18, both of Freedom, who were both charged with UPM. They were released on an appearance ticket.


Monday, Nov. 27

Boston – At approximately 7:40 p.m., G. P. Nottingham, 26, of Gowanda was charged with UPM and a speeding violation while on the 219 Expressway. Nottingham was issued an appearance ticket.

Concord – After receiving a report the previous day regarding a neighbor posting harassing messages on Facebook, John H. Summers, 51, of Concord, was charged with coercion in the second degree, menacing in the third degree and harassment in the second degree after allegedly threatening to shoot a male in the knee. Summers was taken to the holding center pending arraignment.

Sardinia – Justin M. Lingle, 36, of Machias was charged with DWI: first offense and DWI: alcohol or drugs, first offense. This took place at approximately 5:37 p.m. on McKinstry Road, according to NYSP. Lingle was issued an appearance ticket.

Sardinia– Patrol investigated a two-car property damage accident on Olean Road. No injuries were reported and information was exchanged between the two drivers.


Tuesday, Nov. 28

Boston– An SUV that was reported to be all over the road on Feddick Road was subsequently found in a ditch. After investigating, Donna M. Kurtz, 51, of Hamburg was charged with aggravated DWI. Her BAC was reported to be .21 percent. Kurtz was issued four tickets and released to a family member.


Thursday, Nov. 30

Springville – Brandy L. Hamill, 44, of Delevan was charged with DWI: first offense and crossing road hazard markings on Route 39 just after noon. Hamill was issued an appearance ticket.


Saturday, Dec. 2

Eagle – Christopher P. Wergen, 32, of West Falls was charged with license restriction violation, AUO in the third degree and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the first degree. This took place on School Road just before 1 a.m., according to police. Wergen was issued an appearance ticket.
