SPRINGVILLE—Seven people have been arrested as a result of a multi-agency investigation that included Cattaraugus and Wyoming counties.
Five juveniles – two females and three males – as well as two adults were arrested for a series of commercial burglaries and criminal mischief charges over a seven-day period, according to police.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Dyllian S. Taggart, 18, of Delevan and Chester F. Piwowarczyk, 18, of Springville and charged them each with multiple counts of burglary in the third degree, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
According to the BCI, NYSP, these charges stem from a crime spree that included burglaries to Fresh Vapes in Yorkshire, Addie’s Custard Ice Cream Shop in Yorkshire, Lime Lake Snack Shack in Machias, the Lakehouse Restaurant in Machias and the Little Red Caboose Ice Cream Shop in Arcade.
Taggart was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail and Piwowarczyk was remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. The five juveniles were petitioned to family court, according to the BCI.
Reportedly, other criminal charges include criminal trespass at the barbershop in Yorkshire as well as criminal mischief to Pierce Milling in Delevan. No further information was reported on these charges.
